Ben Shaw
Trail Name: Flapjack
I graduated from The UC with a degree in Architectural Engineering back in 2019, since then I’ve spent much of my time dreaming about what’s next. I work as a Mechanical Engineer and then I spend my weekends here at RRT. My passions are traveling to see beautiful places and teaching others the skills I’ve learned along the way. I’m always dreaming of the next trip and looking for the next challenge.
On September 11th, 2021, I completed a thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail, a 2,653 mile route from Mexico to Canada along the backbone of the High Sierras, and the Cascade Range, it was my longest trip ever and changed my outlook on the future. Doing a long trail like that gives you amazing perspective and I’m excited to share that experience here.
I travel A LOT and I love to talk to people about any trip. So, if you’re ever in the shop and have a question, feel free to ask, you might get more information than you wanted but I like to help as much as I can…
